The company currently has over 450 million subscribers, 70% of whom are active, and the number of messages sent by subscribers has approached the total number of messages sent by all mobile operators worldwide and the company is still growing at a rapid pace, currently adding 1 million new subscribers daily. The company was later acquired by Facebook on February 19, 2014.
