CEO Brendan Eich and CTO Brian Bondy founded Brave Software which is a company founded On 28 May 2015, the father of JavaScript, launched the Brave privacy browser based on the Chromium project in 2016, and the Brave browser did not enter version 1.0 until 2019. Brave search engine, which also emphasizes privacy, began testing in June 2021 and replaced Google with Brave as the default search engine in the Brave browser in October of the same year.
