Wattpad Corp. is a large, global digital company that Wattpad co-founders Allen Lau and Ivan Yeun came up with the idea to build in 2006, Vancouver Airport. The award-winning company has also launched offshoot apps such as Wattpad After Dark, an app developed specifically for love stories, and Tap, an app developed specifically for SMS stories. Globally, Wattpad stories have also been officially released or turned into TV series and movies, such as Netflix's The Kissing Booth, a movie created on Wattpad. Wattpad has even launched its own payment method - -Wattpad coins, which can be converted into real-world currency.
